Art for Inclusion

Hope in a Purple Crayon is a year-long initiative designed to bridge and support the well-being and social inclusion of LGBTQIA+ survivors of gender-based violence in India. This is a pilot to build a pedagogy using different modalities of art, visual arts, music, dance, theatre, and play to address challenges related to body image issues, gender dysphoria, and reclaiming ownership of one's body.

Using the universal language of arts, we create these safe sharing spaces of different social justice issues across India. Through simple, jargon free conversations, we wish to make these gatekept discourses accessible. We believe that art, in all its forms, has the power to ignite social movements, big and small.

South Asian Playground

"Transnational Communities" is a collaboration between Kaalo.101(Nepal), Kiwala(Switzerland), and a group of South Asian Collaborators such as Ghartera, Studio Kayami, First Draft and WeFriendsOfToto. The project aims to initiate an international community of independence art curators, creatives, and facilitators based on the values of sharing experiences, knowledge, and resources.Our South Asian Playground aka exhibition "बाफ रे बाफ! - BAAF RE BAAF!" is on display in Patan, Nepal!
